Purchase to Order

The only difference between "Purchase to Order" and "On Offer" is the vehicle, not the price. The same charges apply to both. We bought our personal use Delica using the former method. It took 2 months to find it at auction, then it sat for 4 months until it could be shipped. When a vehicle is on offer, it is usually snapped ut quickly.

With Purcase to Order you stipulate your maximum FOB Vancouver price, and we work it backwards from there. Do to otherwise is simply too complicated because if you just stipulated your maximum bid at auction in Japan you would have to be familiar with and factor in additional costs such as pre-bidding inspection fee, bidding charge, successful auction fee, agent service charge, after-purchase inspection, inland freight (from USS to Nagoya), customs clearance charge, ocean freight (75.00USD / M3), insurance, Money Transfer fees, cost to pack container, deregistration, drayage, etc.

If you want a particular vehicle then the best bet is to place your order, and sit back and wait. If after 28 days has passed your vehcile has not been found, your 20% deposit is refunded or you can try again.

How to buy...

In Stock: Vehicle is in Canada.
In Transit: Enroute from Japan via container
On Offer: Has been purchased and is in partner lot in Japan.
Purchase to Order: Fee based service where Japanese partner bids on clients behalf at auction in Japan.

Each method has advantages and disadvantages. If we invest the money to aquire a vehicle and get it going to Vancouver, then the client pays more based on a sliding scale of the progress. Use the sidebar menu to explore the costs and risks associated with each method. Please feel free to phone at any time, you are not required to make a deposit before you are allowed to gain phone access to a live voice.
